Juan Fernandez Guitar

Juan’s musical experimentation started mid teens, when his family moved into a house where someone left an old beat up guitar. That’s all it took, one thing led to another and a few years later he was in The University of Minnesota studying music. Got his undergrad degree in 1986; and in 1989 completed a Masters degree in guitar performance studying with Jeffrey Van.  He performed with the Minneapolis Guitar quartet which received two Minnesota music awards: “Best new small ensemble” in 1988 and “best small ensemble” in 1989. He taught as a graduate assistant in the University of Minnesota. He is an established veteran with many years of entertaining experience and has performed many solo classical guitar recitals; some in Colombia and in Bahamas, performed at the Landmark Theater in St Paul MN and in the Tampa area Juan has performed with Gunnhighway and Jazz INC.
